THE POWER BEHIND THE THRONE

EPISODE 9 - A FAMILY HERITAGE

Jill Ryder

Jill Ryder is a pivotal figure in the driving world.  As executive director of the Carriage Association of America she organises and oversees conferences, learning weekends, trips abroad and edits The Carriage Journal, a bible for all driving enthusiasts.  She is steeped in driving in all its forms, thanks in main to her influential father, the late, great Tom Ryder.

Although based in Kentucky where the CAA have their offices, Jill keeps close contact with her family and friends in the UK.  Like all of us, her year has been turned upside down by the Coronavirus pandemic, but ever pragmatic and optomistic, Jill is looking ahead, to resuming her trips and is still working hard at the CAA.

We spoke over Zoom on Friday 8th May 2020, during lock down.
