International Carriage Drivers Association (ICDA) Unveils New Website to Unite Global Driving Community

The International Carriage Drivers Association (ICDA), the representative body for international carriage driving athletes, is proud to announce the launch of its newly redesigned and website. The digital overhaul marks a significant milestone in the ICDA’s mission to provide a unified voice for driving sport, offering improved accessibility and resources for drivers and enthusiasts worldwide.

Since its inception, ICDA has worked to bridge the gap between athletes and the sport’s governing bodies, ensuring that the interests of horse, pony, and para-equestrian driving classes are represented at the highest levels and in November 2024 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the FEI. The new website serves as a central hub for this mission, featuring a streamlined interface for news, regulatory updates, and community engagement.

An Open Invitation to the Driving World

ICDA membership is open to all whether you are an athlete or a supporter, as an athlete, the committee will represent your views and have been working with the FEI since the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed.  Whether you are a seasoned international competitor or a dedicated fan of the sport, the association welcomes all:

• Active Drivers: Ensuring those at the reins have a direct line to the FEI Driving Technical Committee and a vote in the sport’s future.
• Supporters: Grooms, officials, organizers, volunteers, and former drivers are encouraged to join and stay connected to the latest developments in the field.

Affordable Access for All

To encourage widespread participation and support the growth of the association, ICDA has set a membership fee of just €15. This accessible rate ensures that everyone can contribute to the advocacy and promotion of carriage driving globally.
